Final presentation + Evaluation

Big Pitch%20  (without video) On YouTube it is very hard to monitor all of the comments especially when my business starts to grow. In a way the fans would have a say in the way the comments are done because they can report any offensive content they may see, but as an owner, it is very hard to monitor every comment. Football clubs generally don’t mind fans making content about their club, because if done right, it can promote the clubs image, this is especially the case with smaller football league clubs. Since my videos will be easy to edit, simply cutting clips together it won’t take more than 30 minutes to edit a video together, of recorded properly with the audio being synced etc. I will increase my travel expenses alongside staff to start with. My values are plain and simple, giving every fan who wants a say on their football club a say.  Action Plan After listening and evaluating to my feedback I have decided to implement the following actions to my business with immedi...

Branding Analysis

Image
Being a largely online business, Matchday with Max's marketing has to be very good, which it is. Max is very active on all of his social medias and engages with his supporters on a regular basis. Max also updates his logo and branding material for every new season, the logo next to me is from the current 2020/2021 season and I expect it to be updated again for the 2021/2022 season. One aspect of Max's business that he brands a lot is the fact that he won best young blogger at the 2018 Football Blogging Awards and he mentions it in his YouTube about section, and also he says 'award winning' on his social media pages. Overall I believe that Max brands his business in a very progressive and proactive manner.  Again, being a largely online business George Benson's marketing has to be very good. In my opinion, George markets his business incredibly well. George is very active on social media and his YouTube channel, on his YouTube channel, George uploads videos on a mo...

Company Case Study 3

Image
Talk Norwich City Business Overview: TalkNorwichCity is a company which talks about all things Norwich City. Being from Norfolk myself I am always following Norwich City and this company is in my opinion the best way to follow Norwich. TalkNorwichCity started in 2012 when they were securing a mid-table finish in the Premier League. Since then, Norwich have been what football fans would describe a 'yo yo club', this means that Norwich have been promoted and relegated a lot in the last 10 years. Talk Norwich City was co-founded by brothers Chris and Jack Reeve. Sales Overview: TalkNorwichCity have a Ko-fi where fans can donate monthly or one time fees, usually around £3. In return TalkNorwichCity offer a private Facebook page for Ko-fi donators only. They advertise that - (Editing software subscriptions, website hosting costs, podcast hosting costs, graphic design, equipment, live streaming capabilities, the odd beer when we finally get to go on away days again!) these will be t...

Research Task 10

Image
Task 10: In this task I will be applying all of the above to my own creative enterprise, Matchday with Louis.  Personal SWOT analysis:    My idea for a creative enterprise is to do football match-day videos covering games and getting players, managers and fans opinions on  issues surrounding the game and their club. I will now conduct a SWOT into my business. S  - I think I have a lot of strengths to do with my business. Normally (When Covid isn't around) their are football games happening all the times where fans are always their, so there's always a lot of work out there for me. Also, there will sometimes be no need to enter the stadium for some games, we can just do it outside. Meaning their will be no ticket cost for some games we go to. Also, another strength is that most football fans always want platforms to share opinions with the media so there will always be interest from the public for interviews etc. W  - With all that's going on at the m...

Research Task 7

Task 7: What is a regulatory body and what is a regulatory framework? The Office of Communications, commonly known as Ofcom, is the government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom. Ofcom has wide-ranging powers across the television, radio, telecoms and postal sectors and they work with each of these in depth with each of these to make sure that these follow rules and guidelines.  The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is an adverting industry based in the UK. The ASA is a non-statutory organisation and so cannot interpret or enforce legislation. However, its code of advertising practice broadly reflects legislation in many instances. Part of the job ASA does is handle complaints when people aren't happy with certain advertisements.  The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) is the independent regulator for the newspaper and magazine industry in the UK. We hold new...
