Company Case Study 3

 Talk Norwich City

Business Overview:

TalkNorwichCity is a company which talks about all things Norwich City. Being from Norfolk myself I am always following Norwich City and this company is in my opinion the best way to follow Norwich. TalkNorwichCity started in 2012 when they were securing a mid-table finish in the Premier League. Since then, Norwich have been what football fans would describe a 'yo yo club', this means that Norwich have been promoted and relegated a lot in the last 10 years. Talk Norwich City was co-founded by brothers Chris and Jack Reeve.

Sales Overview:

TalkNorwichCity have a Ko-fi where fans can donate monthly or one time fees, usually around £3. In return TalkNorwichCity offer a private Facebook page for Ko-fi donators only. They advertise that - (Editing software subscriptions, website hosting costs, podcast hosting costs, graphic design, equipment, live streaming capabilities, the odd beer when we finally get to go on away days again!) these will be the things they spend the donated money on.

Operations and resources:

TalkNorwichCity mainly focus on game-days and previews into how the team might line-up, any injury or suspension news. This will all be uploaded onto their website or their YouTube channel. TalkNorwichCity also have Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts which they upload and post on regularly. Their social media presence is very big compared to most companies of a similar size because they provide all of their content online.

Staff and management team:

As I said earlier, the two founders of TalkNorwichCity are Chris and Jack Reeve but they always have a lot of special guests on the show. Many of these guests are players of Norwich City, the most notable regular on the channel is current player Onel Hernandez who has appeared in multiple videos in the last few years.

Planning:

TalkNorwichCity put a lot of planning into their matchday videos, they always do match previews with line-up and score predictions and they always discuss issues surrounding the club, for example a player transfer. When the lineups are announced they will do a reaction to that over a live stream and the stream will continue until after the match has finished and they have reacted to the game.
