Business Plan Feedback - James Rouse
Email:
Hi Louis
Hope you're well bud!!?
I think it's a well presented document but in the efforts to give some constructive feedback I've got a few points that perhaps you could consider including to bolster the plan.
Finances
I think this is perhaps the most important one to support as without the financials projected it makes it hard to define what success looks like. Here's some points I'd consider....
What does success look like in terms of monetary income?
What are your projected outlays?
Do you have to buy any equipment; camera/ audio/ software?
Will the friend work as a cameraman for free?
What does YouTube income look like. How many views will you need to roughly generate targeted income? It'd be useful to add some generic information about what views equates to in terms of advertising income.
Some examples of rival channels servicing one club where you can show they have achieved brand sponsorship and show as a rough idea what kind of viewership they have to achieve/ maintain to attract that sponsorship.
If the business might take a while to get off its feet.... What are the steps you're going to implement to help it take off?
Your USP in the executive summary is that you're going to be doing multiple clubs.... it'd be interesting if you could put together a free SurveyMonkey (or another survey) and survey friends/ supporters of clubs to see if there is the appetite for this. My own gut feeling is that fans are likely to be overwhelmingly biased towards their own club and not overly fussed with others. Therefore it could be something you look at focussing on one club yourself before refining your skills, putting everything together in terms of what works before rolling out and adding additional clubs?
This is all me thinking out loud - I think you've done a great job and my thoughts are only that. I've no experience in this industry so it's only a gut feeling rather than being based on solid market experience.
Good luck mate & send love to Mum!!

This is my feedback from a photographer in the professional industry, James Rouse. James Rouse is a wedding photographer based in Norfolk, UK and has been doing wedding photography for over 10 years.
In this email I have received a lot of constructive feedback I can act on which is very useful in terms of knowing how I should run my business. The main piece of feedback I will be talking about and acting on is James' idea about putting together a survey to see which clubs seem to be more popular to cover and provide coverage about. I was already thinking about doing this but having the same idea rebuffed by an industry professional reassures me that it is a good idea.
